Gender‑Based Violence Research Initiative

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on July 25, 2022 in Research Funding

Updated September 29 - Deadline extended from October 6 to October 20

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) are launching the Gender-Based Violence Research Initiative.

A webinar on how to apply will be organized in the coming weeks, so please visit SSHRC’s Upcoming Webinars page for updates.

Please note that this initiative is complementary to but distinct from the Knowledge Synthesis Grants: Gender-Based Violence competition recently launched. Both competitions are open concurrently with different deadlines. The Knowledge Synthesis Grants aim to examine and synthesize existing knowledge on gender-based violence, whereas the Gender-Based Research Violence Initiative partnership grants aim to produce new research on particular themes related to gender-based violence that are outlined in the funding opportunity description.

For questions about this funding opportunity please contact SSHRC by writing to partnerships@sshrc-crsh.gc.ca
