ACENET has arranged to have Mathworks teach three workshops on MATLAB. The sessions are online, free of charge and are open to faculty, students and industry.
lntroduction to MATLAB Workshop
14 June, 13:00-15:00hrs Atlantic / 13:30-15:30hrs NL
In this session, you will learn how MATLAB can be used to visualize and analyze data, perform numerical computations, and develop algorithms. Through live demonstrations and examples, you will see how MATLAB can help you become more effective in your work. This session is targeted at those who are new to MATLAB. However, experienced MATLAB users may also benefit from the session, as the engineer will cover some tips and tricks from the newer MATLAB releases. Some of the highlights include:
- Accessing data from many sources (files, other software, hardware, etc.)
- Using interactive tools for iterative exploration, design, and problem-solving
- Automating and capturing your work in easy-to-write scripts and programs
- Sharing your results with others by automatically creating reports
Image processing and Deep Learning for Images Using MATLAB: Part 1
16 June, 13:00-15:00hrs Atlantic / 13:30-15:30hrs NL
Artificial Intelligence techniques like machine and deep learning are introducing automation to the products we build and the solutions we develop. These techniques are being used to solve complex problems related to images, signals, text, and controls in various domains. In this hands-on virtual lab, we will use MATLAB Online to explore, analyze, and solve exercises related to Biomedical Image data sets using Image Processing and AI techniques. The exercises will include:
- Complete workflows with image processing apps
- Image segmentation, analysis, and morphology
- Train deep neural networks on GPUs in the cloud.
- Create deep learning models from scratch for image and signal data.
- Explore pre-trained models and use transfer learning
Image processing and Deep Learning for Images Using MATLAB: Part 2
17 June, 13:00-15:00hrs Atlantic / 13:30-15:30hrs NL
