Canadian Arthritis Research Conference 2023

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on May 23, 2022 in Events

The Arthritis Society (AS), Canadian Rheumatology Association (CRA), and Canadian Institutes of Health Research-Institute for Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (CIHR-IMHA) are delighted to co-host the fourth annual CARC on February 15 - 16, 2023. The conference will feature a range of presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities with experts, researchers, consumers, and emerging leaders who make up the arthritis community.

In keeping with principles of equity, open science, and the wisdom of crowds, the community is invited to submit applications for keynote speakers and symposia.

The organizations invite suggestions for two keynote speakers (25-minute presentation and 5 min Q&A) and individuals for the symposia sessions (3 speakers, 90-minutes). Given that CARC 2023 will be held virtually, there is an opportunity to have a mix of national and international speakers. All speakers must be available to present virtually on February 15 and/or 16, 2023, between approximately 12:40 – 5:30pm AST.

Submissions will be evaluated by the CARC Scientific Committee. Selection criteria include the importance and impact of the topic, patient involvement, principles of equity, diversity, inclusivity and Indigenous rights, and in the case of symposia, a panel comprised of multiple disciplines.

Guidelines for applications (PDF) are available. Please submit your suggestions for speakers through CARC’s online system. All applications must be received by June 3.
