Mitacs Globalink Research Awards (GRAs) help faculty and students deepen the research links between Canadian and international educational institutions. Dalhousie faculty in any discipline may submit applications in support of their PhD Students.
Awards will be made to students in support of 12-week research project placements at universities in Canada. These awards provide £15,000 in funding for research costs, student stipend, and travel/living expenses. Incoming and outgoing applicants must secure a Dalhousie faculty member as their home/host supervisor prior to applying
Other requirements: This scheme is open to doctoral students working in all areas of UKRI’s research remit who are funded by one of UKRI’s research councils: AHRC, BBSRC, ESRC, EPSRC, MRC, NERC, STFC. It also includes the UKRI Artificial Intelligence Centers for Doctoral Training. funded by UKRI research council.
Eligible institutions: All universities in the UK.
Internship dates: Placements must take place between August 1, 2022 and July 31, 2023.
Applications will be made by the Home Supervisor. However, applications will need to be reviewed and signed by ORS. Faculty members interested in hosting students through this program should contact amohan@mitacs.ca for information as soon as possible.
