NFRF Exploration Launch and Webinar for NOI

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on July 12, 2021 in Research Funding

The objective of the Exploration stream is to support high risk, high reward and interdisciplinary research. It seeks to inspire projects that bring disciplines together beyond traditional disciplinary or common interdisciplinary approaches by research teams with the capacity to explore something new that might fail, but has the potential for significant impact.

Value and Duration: Up to $125,000 per year (including indirect costs), 2 years maximum.

This year’s competition is open to teams composed of established and/or early career researchers. Please refer to the competition overview for more details.

All applicants must complete the notice of intent to apply and submit a full application.

See the Notice of Intent to Apply Guide and the Full Application Guide for more information. Other useful resources to assist in the completion of your application include Best Practices in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Research and the evaluation matrices. Please also refer to this year’s FAQ’s about the competition

**Please email Susan Haydt (susan.haydt@dal.ca) if preparing a Notification of Intent, as eligibility of all co-PI/co-applicants must be confirmed. Sue will provide further guidance on this matter.
