Stage 1 research personnel wage support

All PIs who applied for Stage 1 funding have been notified (including those eligible and ineligible). Those eligible for Stage 1 funding received account adjustments in October. PIs can check their account(s) in Financial Self Serve to see the adjustments.

PIs can contact HR (grantpaid@dal.ca) if there are questions regarding the amount posted to the account, or Financial Services (finance.research@dal.ca) if there are any questions regarding eligibility.

Stage 2 research personnel wage support (if Stage 1 allocation was exceeded)

Dalhousie (including the two affiliate hospitals), like many other institutions across the country, did not exceed its Stage 1 CRCEF allocation and, therefore, did not apply for Stage 2 funding.

Stage 3 research maintenance and ramp-up

Dalhousie (including the two affiliate hospitals) will apply to CRCEF for Stage 3 funding on Dec. 15. All PIs who applied for Stage 3 funding will be notified once Stage 3 funding has been received from CRCEF. The expected payment date from CRCEF is January 31, 2021.

For PIs who applied for research personnel wage support under Stage 3, please note, attestations from research personnel that they did not receive any other government support during the August 30 – Nov. 15 eligibility period will be required. PIs eligible for Stage 3 will be contacted soon regarding the attestations.  

Stage 4 research personnel wage support

Dalhousie (including the two affiliate hospitals), applied to CRCEF for Stage 4 funding on Nov. 30. If the request for funds from all institutions exceeds the $84M identified for Stage 4, funding to institutions will be pro-rated. The expected payment date from CRCEF is Dec. 31, 2020.

For both Stages 1 and 4, PIs were asked to forward their attestations and attestations from their research personnel. No Stage 4 adjustments will take place until the attestations have been received.
