On September 1, CIHR released Notices of Recommendation (NORs) to applicants to the Spring 2020 CIHR Project Grant competition. NORs are “…a document that CIHR provides to applicants following peer review committee meetings. The NOR is uploaded to ResearchNet before the decisions are finalized and contains key information about the application’s standing within the competition, including the rating, rank within the panel, reviews, and SO notes (if the application has been discussed). The NOR is provided in advance of the Notice of Decision (NOD), which provides applicants approximately an extra two weeks to decide whether to resubmit an unsuccessful application to the following competition. The NOR contains the same information as the NOD, minus the funding decision” (from CIHR website).

Notices of Decision (NODs) for the Spring 2020 competition are scheduled to be released September 15.  

A reminder that the timeline of the Fall 2020 Project Grant competition is as follows: 

Registration Deadline (directly to CIHR): September 16, 2020 at 9pm AST
Full Application Internal deadline:  September 30, 2020 at 4:30pm AST
Full Application Agency deadline: October 14, 2020 at 9pm AST
