Connection Grants – Joint Initiative for Digital Citizen Research

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on December 16, 2019 in Research Funding

Connection Grants are expected to respond to the objectives of the Connection program. They support events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives. These events and activities represent opportunities to exchange knowledge and to engage on research issues of value to those participating.

Connection Grants are one year in duration and are valued at $7,000 to $25,000 for events, and up to $50,000 for other outreach activities; higher amounts for outreach activities may be considered if well justified.

Events and outreach activities funded by a Connection Grant may often serve as a first step toward more comprehensive and longer-term projects potentially eligible for funding through other SSHRC funding opportunities listed in SSHRC's Funding search tool. For full program details, please visit the website.

New Award Supplement - Joint Initiative for Digital Citizen Research:

Canadian Heritage is partnering with SSHRC to provide funding support through arms-length Insight Grants for research related to online disinformation and other online harms as well as their impact in the Canadian context.
