Message from the Vice-President of Research Programs, SSHRC
Dear SSHRC Leaders,
As vice-president of Research Programs of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, I’m committed to promoting our fields of research we support as widely as possible, and even more so to disseminating the work of the researchers we support. This is why I want to draw your attention to this year’s annual Congrès de l’Acfas, an excellent opportunity to present your research results in French. As SSHRC Leaders, we are counting on your support to spread the word in the humanities and social sciences research community so that it is well represented.
Thousands of researchers will gather in Sherbrooke from May 4 to 8, 2020, to take part in the 88th edition of the Congrès annuel de l’Association francophone pour le savoir (Acfas), a major event that will be jointly hosted by the Université de Sherbrooke and Bishop’s University.
Under the theme “Du jamais su,” the Université de Sherbrooke and Bishop’s University invite the university community and the general public to discover the latest research discoveries in every field of study: from health sciences, natural sciences, engineering and mathematics, to arts, literature and humanities, the social sciences and education.
Researchers, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students are invited to submit their proposals on the Acfas website in one of the two scientific streams:
- seminar proposals deadline: November 4, 2019
- research paper proposals deadline: December 2, 2019
If you have any questions concerning this announcement, contact Manon Blécourt with the Association francophone pour le savoir at manon.blecourt@acfas.ca.
