CALDO‑FAPESP Call for Proposals

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on February 4, 2019 in Research Funding

A call for proposals has been issued by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in Brazil, and Dalhousie University as a participating institution of CALDO (a consortium of Canadian research universities dedicated to the development of international education partnerships between Canada and Latin America).

Proposals are invited for collaborative research projects, in any field, involving the exchange of researchers between Dalhousie and top-ranked universities in São Paulo State, Brazil. Projects will be funded for a two-year duration, to a total of C$25,000 (with $12,500 for the Dal team and an equivalent amount for the Brazilian team). Funding is intended mainly to cover research-related mobility expenses (air travel, accommodation, meals, etc.). Up to three Dal-Brazil collaborative projects will be funded under this call.

Tenured or tenure-track Dal faculty with Brazilian partners at highly-ranked (i.e. Top 200 or equivalent) institutions in São Paulo State are invited to submit proposals for funding under this call. Note that the Brazilian PIs involved must be current FAPESP grantees.

Full details of this call can be found on the FAPESP website.

Any faculty member interested in this opportunity is asked to contact the International Research Manager in the Office of Research Services (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca), for more information and copies of the application forms.
