Ocean Frontier Institute: Visiting Fellows Program

Posted by Danielle Andres on November 13, 2018 in Announcements

The Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI) is now accepting applications for its two Visiting Fellows programs:

1. Visiting International Fellowship

The Visiting International Fellowship will be awarded to highly-qualified researchers who intend to conduct innovative, full-time, interdisciplinary and collaborative research. Successful candidates will spend their research stay at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia or at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland. This program supports both the continuation of research within ongoing research priority areas and/or the development of new, complementary ocean initiatives aligned with OFI’s research priorities.

2. Canadian-International Visiting Fellowship

Canadian-International Visiting Fellowships will be awarded to highly-qualified researchers from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia or at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, who intend to conduct innovative, full-time, interdisciplinary and collaborative research at an international institution, with priority given to one of OFI's partner institutions. This transnational program provides a forum for scholarly knowledge exchange and collaboration, with the clear intent of producing a research outcome with impact (i.e. research proposal, publication or report). This program supports both the continuation of research within ongoing research priority areas and/or the development of new, complementary ocean initiatives aligned with OFI’s research priorities.
