NSERC: GENDER‑NET Plus ‑ Call for Proposals

Posted by Danielle Andres on January 22, 2018 in Research Funding

GENDER-NET Plus, co-funded by the European Research Areas (ERA) Network, brings together a consortium of 16 partners from 13 different countries including Canada. This program is an important opportunity to fund research projects that will promote the integration of sex and gender analysis into research at an international level. Each applicant team must include investigators from at least three participating countries.

NSERC will provide direct funding to eligible Canadian researchers to participate in awarded projects related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG): SDG 9 – Infrastructure, Industrialization and Innovation, and SDG 13 – Climate Action.

The total amount available to Canadian researchers from NSERC is $700,000 CAD, enough to fund at least two projects. The maximum amount available per project is $100,000 CAD per year for up to three years.

Pre-proposal documents must be completed and submitted by the Project Coordinator via the GENDER-NET Plus Electronic Proposal Submission System (EPSS) by  March 1, 2018 at 5pm (Central European Time).

For more information on rules and how to apply, please consult the websites of both NSERC and GENDER-NET Plus.

Any faculty member interested in this opportunity is asked to contact the International Research Facilitator in Dalhousie Research Services (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca), for more information and support in preparing an application.
