ACENET Basics Series

These sessions are the core workshops designed to get new users of advanced computing up and running on ACENET/Compute Canada systems. No experience is necessary. A Compute Canada account and laptop are strongly recommended.

- Introduction to Shell Scripting, Wednesday, October 25th
- Understanding Job Scheduling, Thursday, October 26th
Introduction to Using Cedar and Graham Clusters
Friday November 3rd, 12:00-1:30pm NST, Memorial University, Room A1043 (Arts & Administration Building)
Join this introductory session to using the new national systems, Graham and Cedar. Participants will learn about their capabilities, file systems, available software, the Slurm scheduler, and how to start using them. This session provides an overview and quick-start guidance.
