France‑Canada Research Fund (FCRF)

Posted by Suman Jha on September 25, 2017 in Research Funding

A call for proposals has been issued by the France Canada Research Fund (FCRF), for projects to be undertaken from 2018-20.

The FCRF promotes and finances new research projects in all academic fields, jointly developed by French and Canadian teams that have never worked together before. Funding is awarded to two-year projects in amounts ranging from $8,000 to $15,000. This funding is primarily intended to support the mobility of researchers and their students.

While proposals in all academic fields are welcome, for this year’s competition it is intended that up to five projects on topics related to “Low Carbon” will be selected.

Full competition guidelines and the application form can be accessed online here.

As in previous years, International Research & Development (IR&D) in Dalhousie Research Services will be facilitating Dal applications to the FCRF, and will arrange for necessary institutional signatures and internal shortlisting of proposals (if required).

Any faculty member interested in submitting a proposal is asked to contact the International Research Facilitator (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) for further information and support in preparing an application.

Deadline: 10 November 2017
