New Program Announcement: Rapid Response: Canada 2018 (Parkinson's & Related Diseases) has launched

The Weston Brain Institute supports translational research to accelerate the development of therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases of aging. They are pleased to launch the Rapid Response: Canada 2018 program for Parkinson’s & Related Diseases.

Program Overview
Seed funding for novel, high-risk, high-reward translational research to accelerate the development of safe and effective treatments for neurodegenerative diseases of aging.

Funding
Up to $200,000 over up to 18 months

Eligibility
Principal applicants must be at or above the level of postdoctoral researcher at a CRA qualified institution located in Canada.

Disease Groups
This program is run through alternating calls that are disease focused.
Parkinson’s & Related Diseases:
PD, PSP, LBD, MSA, prodromes, and vascular contributions to the listed diseases
Alzheimer’s & Related Diseases:
AD, FTD, MCI prodromes, and vascular contributions to the listed diseases

Letter of Intent deadline: December 4, 2017 at 2pm ESTAnticipated Award: June 2018
