Mitacs Globalink Research Awards: Nova Scotia/Shandong

The Province of Nova Scotia has partnered with Mitacs to fund a total of 15 new Globalink Research Awards (GRAs), for Nova Scotian students to undertake a period of research with universities in Shandong Province, China.

Successful candidates for these awards can receive $5,000 for research projects of 12-24 weeks in Shandong Province.  Other features include:

  • Open to senior undergraduates and graduate students
  • Canadian citizens and permanent residents may apply (although permanent residents cannot hold Chinese citizenship)
  • No industry partner is needed

Any faculty member with links to Shandong Province, China, who is interested in supporting a student application for this GRA, is asked to contact the International Research Facilitator in Dalhousie Research Services (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) as soon as possible, for more information and support in preparing an application.
