NSERC Ottawa visits Dalhousie University

Dalhousie Research Services welcomes NSERC staff from Ottawa to present on general news, general results, and the Discovery Grants Program.

About our presenters:

Stacey Lee-Jenkins is the Lead Program Officer for EG1508, the Mathematics and Statistics Evaluation Group for NSERC’s Discovery Grants Program. In her role as Program Officer, Stacey particularly enjoys working with Evaluation Group members during the competition cycle, meeting researchers in the mathematics and statistics research communities, and participating in various internal NSERC policy working groups.

Prior to joining NSERC in 2015, and since completing her Ph.D. in Biology (in 2012) at Carleton University, Stacey was a sessional instructor at Carleton University and Algonquin College, and a contract research associate at the National Wildlife Research Centre at Environment Canada.

Rob Attrell is a Program Officer with the Math/Stats and Chemistry team in Research Grants at NSERC. He is primarily responsible for the CTRMS program and the RTI program for Chemistry. Rob has been a scientist at heart for his entire life; he has a M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Ottawa, and a life-long love of mathematics and technology.

Rob has held a number of positions at NSERC, both in policy development and program delivery, and he is an advocate for science literacy and diversity whenever the opportunity presents itself.
