Canadian Light Source: New Scientific Development

Posted by Suman Jha on January 3, 2017 in Research Funding

The Canadian Light Source (CLS) is now starting to look to potential future projects and at this stage we are inviting interested scientific leaders to tell us what major infrastructure projects they would like to see at the CLS in the next few years.

We are accepting expressions of interest for enhancing the Canadian infrastructure for leading scientific research in health, agriculture, environment, and advanced materials:

· New beamlines (Note: We have only one remaining straight section, but there are several bending magnet ports still available for development).

· Existing beamline upgrades. An upgrade project must be led or formally supported by the existing beamteam leader.

· Non-beamline major infrastructure. If there is infrastructure you would like to see at CLS, that is suitable for inclusion at a national science facility, we are willing to consider it.

Please visit the website here for details.

Submission Deadline: January 27, 2017 5:00 pm CST.
