Industry Liaison and Innovation (ILI) manages and facilitates collaborations between companies and university researchers, commercializes research at Dalhousie University, and assists in the creation of spin-off ventures.

Aggressively work with industrial partners to facilitate interactions with researchers from the earliest timeframes. To form mutually beneficial relationships in order to maximize the opportunities and minimize the challenges.
Facilitate the mobilization of available knowledge into active service to benefit society and maximize academic, economic, and financial impacts. Sharing information, skills or discoveries so as broad a group of stakeholders as possible benefit from that earned knowledge and technology.
Proactively work to support the university community to inform the researchers, create receptor capacity in the community at large, to support existing affiliated companies and lead the formation of start-ups companies. To identify opportunities, allocate resources, and create value.
