The Centre for Learning & Teaching (CLT)

Contact CLT for your pedagogical questions on course design and to request one-on-one or departmental consultations on online/blended pedagogy, instructional design, and integration of technology with classroom practice. The CLT:

  • Consults on online/blended course design and development;
  • Advises on the effective and pedagogical use of educational technology;
  • Offers workshops on a variety of eLearning topics, including active learning, team-based learning, accessibility, and more;
  • Supports and guides faculty with the creation of online course content and interactive learning strategies

Academic Technology Services (ATS)

Contact ATS for your technical questions about how to use Brightspace and its instructional tools. Chat live with an instructional technologist Monday‒Friday, 9 a.m.‒8 p.m., Saturday & Sunday, 
9 a.m.‒3 p.m.

Other Dal Libraries' services:

  • Course Reserves (eReserves): Submit your course readings lists (for online materials) to the Dalhousie Libraries at least two weeks before your course starts. Library staff will create persistent URLs and seek copyright clearances.
  • Copyright: Consult with the Dal Libraries' Copyright Office for information about fair dealing in the learning management system. 
  • Liaison Librarians: The subject liaison librarians select journals, books, electronic resources, and archival material to support teaching and research in specific disciplines. Liaison librarians can also assist with preparation for new courses and programs, instructional workshops, research consultation, etc.
