Health Systems and Governance

By rethinking health system design at the organizational, regional and federal levels, the MacEachen Institute aims to facilitate the redesign of complex health policy areas. High-functioning health systems depend on our ability to constantly evaluate current practices, policies and evidence and integrate this new information and knowledge into the operation of our health systems. Coordinating data collection, benchmarks, best practices, information technology and regulatory systems will allow us to develop more effective pharmaceutical policies, plan long-term care for an aging population, redirect resources towards public health and upstream determinants of health, and provide accessible and comprehensive mental health care to Canadians.
