Junior Fellows

The Institute launched its Junior Fellows program on October 17, 2017.   Junior Fellows contribute to the research, goals and learning culture of the Institute. They work with the institute to support the development of progressive public policy and encourage greater citizen engagement.

Brittany Barber

Brittany Barber joins the MacEachen Institute as a Junior Research Fellow within her first year of doctoral studies. Under the supervision of Drs. Daniel Rainham and George Kephart, Brittany is completing her PhD in Health at Dalhousie University. Her research interests are focused in spatial epidemiology, exploring healthcare utilization amongst superuser patients across Nova Scotia.

Andrew Lam

Andrew Lam is a master's student in Sociology in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Dalhousie University.  Under the supervision of Dr. Jean-Sebastien Guy, Andrew is looking at how comedy on social media impacts how young people cultivate their political identities.  His current career goal is to add to research that studies  the intersection between new information and communication technologies, politics and engagement.
