Office Web Apps

Who can use it?

Dalhousie students and employees.

What is it?

Office 365 contains a browser-based version of Microsoft Office that allows for quick editing of OneDrive documents, without installing additional software.

When do I use it?

The Office web apps are great when you need to make changes to a OneDrive document, but you're away from your computer or using a mobile device and don't have access to the full Microsoft Office software. The Office web apps don't have the full functionality of the Microsoft Office software, but you can make text and formatting changes, among others.

Where do I find it?

  1. Log in to myDal using your NetID and password.
  2. Click the OneDrive link in the top right-hand menu.
  3. Click a document in your directory.

The document should automatically open in the browser version of the related program (.e.g, Word, Excel).
