Respect Week and Pink Day celebrates Dal’s commitment to a safe, inclusive, and respectful University community.
2019 marked 10 years of celebrating Respect Week at Dalhousie University! This year, we're using this week as an opportunity to re-imagine Respect Week.
Respect Week and Pink Day started after a school community chose to come together in solidarity with a male student being bullied by classmates for wearing a pink shirt to school. This time provides the opportunity to remind our University community that all forms of discrimination, assault, harassment, and bullying are always unacceptable, whether they be on campus, online, or at home
It is our hope that the Dalhousie community will be inspired to think critically and act with intent to create a safe, inclusive environment that we can all be proud of.
