Sara Kirk, PhD

Sara Kirk is a Professor of Health Promotion and Scientific Director of the Healthy Populations Institute, at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada. She also holds a cross-appointment with Community Health and Epidemiology, an honorary senior scientist position with the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute, and adjunct faculty status in the Applied Human Nutrition department at Mount Saint Vincent University. Managing Director

Gillian Ritcey, MPA

Gillian Ritcey is an alumnus of the Dalhousie University Masters of Public Administration program and a proud Nova Scotian who is delighted to be returning to her home province. After completing her MPA, Gillian moved to Toronto where she worked in the Ontario health system in various capacities for almost ten years; at the Health Council of Canada, the Ontario Medical Association and the majority of her career at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto. At IHPME, Gillian was the Director of the Ontario provincial quality improvement-training program (IDEAS) and most recently was the Director of Continuing Education. She is passionate about building the capacity of health systems to fulfill their core objective of promoting health and health equity.
