Tupper, Link, and CRC Planned Power Outage

Posted by Admin on June 26, 2015 in District Heating Project, Notices and Alerts, News, Campus Development

Please be advised that, in order to install an electrical switch and equipment related to the Sexton Campus Heating Project, there is a planned power outage affecting the Tupper Building, Link Building and Clinical Research Centre for Monday, June 29. The outage is expected to last 3 to 4 hours commencing at 2:00 am. During this work there will be no power in the three buildings.

As the emergency generations will not be operating, fridges, freezers, incubators, cold rooms, and other equipment may be affected. Similarly lighting, air handling and the elevators will not be functioning during this time. The fire panel will be running on battery powers in all three locations.

Please note that during the electrical outage the Tupper Building, Link building, and CRC will be closed. No entry will be permitted into the buildings between 2:00 and 6:00 am unless escorted by security. Escorted access to these buildings during the outage must be arranged as soon as possible by contacting the Project Manager (contact information below).

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary work may cause. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Project Manager, Stuart McCormack at 902-494-7863.
