Open for the Season and Ready to Welcome Guests
On the evening of May 5, Dalhousie University will begin welcoming overnight guests to campus in both Halifax and Truro, NS. Each spring and summer, Dalhousie’s residence buildings are open to the public, who are able to stay on campus for an affordable nightly rate.
“Visitors to Halifax and Truro stay on campus at Dalhousie because of our great value, central locations and the genuine customer service received from our team,” says Lyle Quinn, the acting sales manager with Event & Conference Services. “Visitors to Nova Scotia are looking for a particular experience; our accommodation price-point allows those visitors to save for the things they really want to do in Halifax and Truro”, says Lyle.
Guests who stay on campus not only take advantage of affordable rates, but also enjoy comfortable accommodations, complimentary wireless Internet access, free overnight parking (subject to availability) and daily membership privileges to the Dalplex or Langille fitness facility.
This will be the third year that LeMarchant Place, the university’s new suite-style residence, will be available to guests. “Rated 3.5 stars by Canada Select, featuring private washrooms and air conditioning, LeMarchant Place continues to shine as an attractive option for our overnight guests in Halifax,” says assistant director of Event & Conference Services, Meghan Burke.
Seasonal accommodations are available throughout the summer, with the final night of accommodations being available on August 17, 2017. Guests who wish to learn more and make their reservation are encouraged to visit dal.ca/stay.
