Shannon Murray, PhD

Shannon Murray is a professor of Renaissance Literature and a 3M National Teaching Fellow (2001).  For the past 15 years, she has facilitated the Faculty Development Summer Institute on Active Learning at the University of Prince Edward Island.  She has presented workshops on a variety of subjects, including Active Learning, Portfolios, the Senior Year Experience, and Threshold Concepts.   She was for five years the Director of Faculty Development at UPEI, and she is the Coordinator of the 3M National Teaching Fellowship Program.  In 2011, she was awarded the Association of Atlantic Universities Award for Distinguished Service Award for contributions to Faculty Development.
