A teaching dossier is a critical component for any academic job search, and yet we often do not consider the time and work it takes to develop a dossier that reflects the experience, values, and evidence of our teaching. This workshop covers what should be included in your dossier (e.g., student evaluations, teaching materials), and will provide you with an opportunity to start developing the foundations to your own dossier.

Workshop participants are encouraged to bring a draft of their own teaching dossier, but it is not required to attend. To learn more about what a teaching dossier is, and what's included, please see the CLT website here:

This workshop is a valuable session for graduate students that are considering applying for academic jobs in the future, completing the Certificate in University Teaching and Learning (CUTL), or considering applying for the Graduate Teaching Award at Dalhousie (Learn more about the award:

This workshop is specifically for graduate students. If you are a post-doc, instructor or faculty, we recommend you sign up for the two-part faculty workshop on Creating a Teaching Dossier.
