Lauri Aesoph\, Open Education Manager with BCcampus\, will draw on her experiences with the BC Open Textbook Project to describe the basics of OER and open textbooks\, how faculty can adopt or change these resources\, and some of the concerns about moving toward this new model. She project manages and leads workshops and webinars on the adoption\, adaptation\, and creation of open educational resources. She also provides technical and instructional design support for the B.C. Open Textbook Project as a Manager of Open Education. Lauri has worked in higher education for over 25 years\, the last 12 with BCcampus.
