Universal design for university courses
This workshop will introduce the concept of Universal Design for Instruction (UDI). UDI invites instructors to conceptualize and organize their courses according to the learning structures that most encourage and sustain full participation and engagement of students. This includes preplanning of such course elements as class climate, interaction, physical environment and products, delivery methods, information resources and technology, feedback, assessment, and accommodation. The workshop will focus particularly on curriculum outlines. Faculty and instructors are welcome to bring their own course outlines as a reference for learning.
