Cancelled: Lunch & Learn: Using Learning Outcomes: Tales from a Former Skeptic
**This session will now be part of the April 19th lunch and learn.
Developing learning outcomes for teaching is not always met with great enthusiasm, since many seasoned instructors have managed to teach just fine without them. However, as I recently learned, they can be immensely useful to help professor and student focus on relevant skills and material. I will give an example of how I recently applied learning outcomes at the beginning of one of my popular lab activities (measuring behaviour in rats on cocaine), and why I think they are an important, and underutilized, teaching and learning tool.
