Societies & Clubs
With over 300 clubs and societies on campus, you'll find plenty of people who share common interests, and you'll have a ton of opportunities to try something completely new. Browse the listings of student clubs and societies by downloading the Dalhousie Student Union site and find the ones that suit your interests. Some of the active ones include:

- World Animal Protection Society
- Dalhousie Medical Campus Response Team
- Dalhousie Surfing Society
- Dalhousie Swing Dance Society
And, if you don’t find anything that interests you, start your own club!
Faculty and department societies
If you're interested in becoming more involved with your faculty or department, take a look to see if they're listed or ask around your department office. It's a great way to become an advocate for your program of study, help out with events, and meet other students.
Dal also offers the opportunity to take part in a variety of sport clubs at different levels of competition. There are over 30 different clubs to choose from: everything from rugby, football, field hockey, and lacrosse, to cheerleading, fencing, ultimate frisbee, and squash. There are also currently three club sport teams at the Agricultural Campus: cross country, equestrian, and golf.
