International Student Orientations

The International Centre organizes a new international student orientation at the beginning of the fall and winter terms. Each orientation includes workshops, welcoming ceremonies, fun events, prize giveaways, breakfasts, lunches, and field trips. Domestic and international students have many volunteer opportunities in this program.

You become an integral part of welcoming new international students to Dalhousie and familiarizing them with the campus resources and services.

Volunteer positions and responsibilities:

Logistical Support Volunteers: Help Orientation run smoothly by handling registration; setting up and cleaning up; helping with meals and events; being a runner.

Student Leaders: Show newly-arrived students around campus and answer their questions about starting out in Halifax.
