Adulting 101 workshop series

 

Adulting 101 is a series of workshops available to Dalhousie and King's students on a range of topics related to their health and wellness. We encourage students to drop-by one, or all of the workshops! 

Workshop 1: Health on a budget 

October 17, 6-8pm, Student Union Building room 307

Presenter: Emily Glover, Dietician from Mount Saint Vincent University

  • Healthy eating in university

  • Meals & deals
  • Physical activity tips (presented by Dalhousie Athletics & Recreation)

Workshop 2: Sleep, stress, and staying afloat

Workshop 3: Manging your money

Presenter: Pamela Goodwin, Dalhousie Assistant Registrar, Financial Aid

  • Student loans - things to watch out for
  • Budgeting in university & how to stick to it
  • Good credit - what it is and how to maintain it
  • Setting yoruself up for a strong financial future

Workshop 4: Professional you

  • Basic resume tips

  • The importance of getting involved (resume builders)
