Student life, Dal-style
At Dal, life inside and outside the classroom is what you make of it – and we are here to help you make the most of it. When you’re not in class or studying, there are always events and activities to enjoy.
The ultimate study break
Enjoy sports and staying active? Dal’s intramural program has something for everyone. Make new friends and keep your heart rate up with a game of soccer, badminton or basketball. Or, head to the Dalplex or Langille Athletic Centre for a game of squash, to pump some iron in our weight rooms, swim or take part in a fitness class.
Dal after dark
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, Dal After Dark organizes free or low-cost events and activities on the Halifax campuses. If you’re a student in the Faculty of Agriculture, there are lots of organized events and activities at the Agricultural Campus too. Getting involved is a great way to enjoy time with friends and meet new people.
Something for everyone
Join a club or a society. We’ve got hundreds of them, offering something for all interests and personalities, including the International Students Association, a tea drinkers’ society, a fencing club and an Ultimate Frisbee club. If you can’t find a club you like, you can always start your own.
