Residence and Housing
Your home away from home
More than just a place to sleep, residence at Dal is a thriving and supportive community – and a great way to meet new friends. Residence Assistants and Cluster Leaders are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week if you have questions.
We’ll do the grocery shopping and the dishes
Dal offers nutritious meal plans for all tastes and dietary needs. Meals served in our dining halls are a great way to get the nutrition you need without the hassle of cleaning up. There are also several retail options available on campus.
Stay connected: Internet and media
All residences are equipped with a variety of services, including high-speed Internet and local telephone service with voicemail. We can even provide you with a phone, or you can bring your own. Free television access is also provided – just bring a TV.
Many students choose to live off-campus, often with friends or other students. Dalhousie partners with Places4Students, a large, online listing of apartments and houses for rent. Dal’s off-campus living office also provides services to help you find a place that suits your needs, including cost-of-living information, moving resources and meal plan options.
