With a population of over 12,500 people, Truro is the hub of Nova Scotia, linking the province to the rest of the region. Truro offers the best of both worlds: small-town ambience combined with a full range of commercial and recreational opportunities.
Dalhousie's Agricultural Campus is located just outside of Truro and students frequently head into town to enjoy Victoria Park, festivals, the Farmers' Market, theatres and shopping.
Located at the halfway point between the Equator and the North Pole, Truro's weather compares favourably with other parts of Canada.
If you’ll be flying into Halifax for your tour, be sure to allow enough time to get to campus. The Halifax Stanfield International Airport is approximately 45 minutes from campus and offers several rental car companies.
Parking is available to campus tour guests. A permit can be picked up in room 100 of Cox Institute.
