What will I learn?
You’ll study a variety of topics in this multi-disciplinary program that will help you analyze and understand environmental issues from different angles, including an economic perspective.
Alongside the sciences, you'll also learn about ecosystems, conservation, water quality, waste reduction and site remediation, as well as resource management and policy, in the classroom and through hands-on lab and field work. You'll also get an opportunity to practice environmental sampling and analysis.
By the time you graduate, you'll understand the causes and implications of environmental problems, and you'll be ready to contribute to the solution.
We recognize the important link between research and education, and we always strive to create new knowledge through research opportunities.
Professors in Dal’s Environmental Sciences program are involved in diverse research projects, studying a range of topics from cool climate fruits to insect toxicology, as well as the broader fields of health and bioproducts.
