Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) Scholarships

  • Full-time student in the MSc(OT – Post-Professional) program with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.7 or higher.
  • Only two scholarships will be offered annually and the amount of funds will vary year to year.

Automatic consideration

 

Barbara O’Shea Graduate Award

  • Full-time or part-time student entering the first year of the MSc(OT – Post-Professional) program.
  • Selection is based on students’ scholarly achievement to date, contribution to the profession and potential for graduate studies (evidence taken from the Letter of Intent).
  • Preference given to Dalhousie University graduates of the BSc(OT) program.
  • Only two awards will be presented annually.

School of Occupational Therapy Graduate Scholarship

  • Full or part-time student entering the MSc(OT – Post-Professional) program.
  • Selection is will be based on the students’ scholarly achievement to date.
  • Only two awards will be presented annually.

Fred Sammons Award
  • Tutor or preceptor for Dalhousie or another University in the Occupational Therapy program.
  • Proposal approved and received ethical approval if applicable, have excellence in research design, be relevant to Atlantic Canada, related to technology and design solutions that promote health, wellbeing and inclusion in everyday life. 
  • Applicants must write a statement of 500 words or less describing how their project addresses award guidelines.
Students are sent application materials in June of each year
