Annual Progress Reports

All graduate students in thesis-based programs are required to submit a progress report every year, due one month prior to the anniversary of your start date:

  • August 1st for September admits
  • December 1st for January admits
  • April 1st for May admits

Students who receive external funding administered by Dalhousie or who are awarded a Killam pre-doctoral scholarship are required to submit the report one month in advance of the one-year anniversary date of the start of their award – this also applies to award renewals; this report will satisfy the FGS annual progress report requirement.

Annual Progress Reports are submitted via Dal Online. Failure to submit your report or failure to submit it on time may result in an administrative hold being placed on your student file by FGS, resulting in delays in registration and processing of scholarships or other funding.
