Resources & facilities

Dalhousie's Department of Classics is located at the centre of the main Dalhousie University campus in the Marion McCain Arts and Social Sciences building, right beside the Killam Memorial Library, the region’s largest academic library. The University of King’s College Library, which has a comprehensive classics collection, is just a five-minute walk from the Classics Department.

The Classics Department also has its own beautiful library with an extensive collection of books and journals on topics of particular interest to our students and faculty. Computers are also available, with access to important Classics databases such as the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae. When not in use for seminar courses or departmental events, this library is open for use by our students.

Graduate students also have access to lockers and study carrels to facilitate their research endeavours.
