Why Dal?

Halifax is a beautiful port city that epitomizes Maritime hospitality and historic charm. Dalhousie combines these attributes with novel research capacities, creating a perfect environment for social-minded academics. The scientific community at Dal is one of the strongest I have encountered, not only in terms of peer and supervisory support, but interdepartmental collaboration as well.

Why biochemistry & molecular biology?

The research being conducted by the esteemed professors within the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has purposeā€”it is accessible, relevant and applicable to the field of medicine. The dynamic program promotes the expansion of scientific perspectives and facilitates meaningful scientific contributions that benefit the population.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by experience. My fascination with the complexities of the human brain and the delicate balance of psychology, physiology and pathology has led me to Dal. It is here that I can combine technical skills, academic learning and social collaboration into a uniquely inspiring experience that will have lasting effects on my life and, hopefully, the lives of others.
