Frames, Rings, and Photography
Frames and parchment framing
In partnership with the Dalhousie Bookstore, we are pleased to offer a variety of frame styles for purchase, including a limited number of Dal 200 frames in celebration of the university's bicentennial year. Frames are available for purchase at Jenkins Hall on the Agriculture Campus and in the Dalhousie Arts Centre on the Halifax Campus during and after each Convocation ceremony. Please note: frames purchased at the Arts Centre can be picked up at the Dal Bookstore located across the street in the Student Union Building.
Bookstore staff in Halifax and Truro will be on hand to provide complimentary framing service.
If you prefer, frames can also be pre-ordered. The Dal Bookstore is pleased to offer free shipping to anywhere in Canada and the continental US on purchases made between May 1 and June 2, 2018. For more details, please visit bookstore.dal.ca/dalgrad.
Graduates from the Faculty of Agricultural who wish to purchase a Barley Ring, please refer to the Order Information page for full details.
Dalhousie offers graduates the opportunity to have professional photographs taken during Convocation. A professional photographer will take candid capping photographs from a position onstage as each graduate greets the Chancellor.
A link to the digital proof and photography package information will be available from LifeTouch shortly after Convocation. Please touch base with LifeTouch to gain access to your proof. There is no obligation to make a purchase.
If you wish to NOT have your photograph taken while greeting the Chancellor, you must contact email@example.com at least one week prior to the ceremonies.
In addition, LifeTouch staff will set up a portrait studio for family or individual portraits during and following the ceremonies. You can book your session now through the Lifetouch website or by speaking with a LifeTouch staff member during graduate line-up.
