Graduating with Combined or Two Degrees


BA/DEng, BSc/DEng and BEng/BSc
Students graduating with these combined degrees attend the ceremony for BA or BSc students and the ceremony for the Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering.

If you wish to attend only one ceremony, please note that you will only be able to receive the degree/diploma appropriate to that ceremony and your other degree or diploma can be picked up from the Registrar's Office following Convocation. Or, you can arrange to have it mailed to you. Please contact the Registrar's Office if you have any questions.

BSc (Recreation)/BMgt
Graduates in this combined program will attend the Health Professions ceremony for the award of the Bachelor of Science (Recreation) degree and the Management ceremony for the award of the Bachelor of Management degree.

JD/MBA, JD/MPA, JD/MLIS, JD/MHSA
Graduates in these combined programs will attend two separate ceremonies: Law Convocation for the Law degree and the appropriate ceremony for the MBA, MPA, MLIS or MHSA degree. Graduates are reminded that they must pick up hoods for both degrees and a mortar board for the Master's degree.

MASc/MP, MEng/MPlan, MASc/MURP, MEng/MURP
Graduates in these combined programs will attend the Architecture and Planning ceremony. Graduates are reminded that they must pick up a special hood for this degree and a mortar board.

Double Majors and Combined Honours
Students graduating with any of these degrees will attend the ceremony for the field in which they have the most credits.

Two degrees
Students receiving two separate degrees are invited to attend the ceremonies for both degrees (if applicable) and will receive two packages and two sets of invitations. If you wish to attend only one ceremony, please note that you will only be able to receive the degree appropriate to that ceremony and the second degree will be mailed to you (at your request) or it can be picked up in the Registrar's Office following Convocation.
