Multiculturalism Day (Canada)
On November 13, 2002, the Government of Canada, by Royal Proclamation, designated June 27 of each year as Canadian Multiculturalism Day. Canadian Multiculturalism Day is an opportunity to celebrate Canada’s diversity and her commitment to democracy, equality, and mutual respect and to appreciate the contributions of the various multicultural groups and communities to the Canadian Society.

Ghambar Maidyoshem(ZO) celebrates the creation of water, the sowing of the summer crop, and the harvesting of grain.
July 1
Canada Day
Canada’s National Day is a federal holiday celebrating the day when Canada became a kingdom in its own right in 1867. This is a day celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867 enactment of the British North America Act, which united Canada as a single country, which was in turn composed of four provinces. Canada Day celebrations take place throughout Canada as well as internationally.
July 2
Laylat al Qadr (IS)
This, the “Night of Power,” commemorates the first revelation of the Qur’an (Islamic Scriptures) to Prophet Muhammad in 610 CE. This festival begins in the evening.
