Harris and Berdien Bakker stand next to each other for a photo, grinning while they jostle elbows and utter threats through their teeth.

The two siblings from Killoween, N.B., turn out consistent performances on the badminton court and steady grades in the classroom. Both are nationally ranked athletes and scholarship-winning students at Dalhousie Agricultural Campus.

But there’s one thing they can’t do consistently – get along.

“There’s days where we almost tear each other apart,” Berdien, 19, said with a laugh. “But it kind of bounces back.”
