    REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Graduate degree in a health-related field required or in progress, and clinical experience in disability management.  Previous teaching and/or supervisory experience in adult education and with mature students is desirable.  Competence in the interactive use of e-mail and web-based learning with learners at a distance is an asset.

    Work Assignment:   This part-time academic will be required to teach POLI 3591.03 Issues in Contemporary Maritime Security, in the Winter term Jan 7 –April 8, 2013.   The class is scheduled on Wednesdays, 2:35-5:25pm.  The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the department.

    Requirements: Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D., or nearly completed Ph.D., in Political Science.  Previous university-level teaching is an asset.  Preference will also be given to applicants with experience in teaching Maritime Security courses.
