    Subject: Halifax Planetarium show, "Springtime Stargazing"

    As part of International Astronomy Week, the Halifax Planetarium is pleased to present "Springtime Stargazing"

    Time:       Thursday, April 26th, 7:15 pm
    Location:   Rm. 118, Dunn Bldg, Dalhousie University, 6310 Coburg Rd
    Presenter:  Patrick Fortier
    Title:      "Springtime Stargazing"

    The evenings are definitely warming, permitting more comfortable stargazing. Come to the Halifax Planetarium to be acquainted with the stars and
    constellations of the spring sky, as well as prominent planetary visitors such as Mars and Venus.

    Admission:  $5 (at the door); reductions for families (min. age 8 years)
    Reservations Required: e-mail  planetarium@dal.ca
    State number of adults and children (8-15)

    The Show is about an hour long. Details will be sent the day before.

    Please do not be late. No admission after the door closes.

    Financial Services will be offering information sessions on how to use Finance Self Service (FSS) and ePrint.  The information sessions will help those requiring access to financial reports to maneuver through the electronic format.

    If you would like to attend one of these sessions, please go to https://register-eod.dal.ca/, change the Theme to “Financial Management” and click Apply.  Click on Register for whichever FSS & ePrint session you would like to attend.

    Both information sessions will be held in:

    The Faculty of Graduate Studies wishes to announce that Mr. Mohammod Hafizur Rahman, PhD candidate from the Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science will be defending his thesis entitled “MOLECULAR DYNAMICS STUDY OF SODIUM OCTANOATE SELF-ASSEMBLY IN PARALLEL-WALL CONFINEMENTS" on Monday, April 23rd, at 11:00 a.m. The defence will be held in Room 430, Goldberg Computer Science Building, 6050 University Avenue.

    All PhD defences are open to the public and you are welcome to attend.

    Subject: April 23 meeting has been cancelled

    The Senate Planning and Governance Committee have voted to cancel the April 23 Senate meeting as there are insufficient items of business. Senate will next meet on Monday, May 14 from 2 pm – 4 pm in University Hall, Macdonald Building.
