Marisa Mota - Volleyball

Fourth-year libero Marisa Mota is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.

Marisa led the Tigers to a 3-1 victory over l’universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues this past Sunday.

She passed a 2.36 and collected 16 digs in the 3-1 victory. The Tigers improved their record to 9-2 and continue to lead the AUS standings.

Marisa is currently ranked second in the AUS for digs (200) and digs per set (4.44).

Marisa is from Kitchener, O.N., and is an arts student.

Steven Johnson - Hockey

Second-year forward Steven Johnston is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.

Steven was a physical force for the Tigers this week, scoring two goals Saturday night.

He scored the Tigers second and sixth goals, in their 6-1 win over Moncton.  He was also very good in penalty kill situations, not allowing any goals on the road this weekend.  Steven currently has four points this season with three goals and one assist.

A native of Sudbury, O.N., Steven is a management student.
